and I'm not kidding!
It is so blazing hot you can make coffee out of the tap! It is soooooo hot the thermometer crawled off the post and quit. It is so hot I saw Santa in shorts.

I believe the motor home is developing unhealthy relations with tow trucks. I believe an intervention is in order. I put the starter back in her and we ran for 3 miles, then boom, three backfires and dead. It is my own fault. I was so excited about her starting I didn't check to see where the new cable I installed lay, and it lay across the exhaust pipe. In three miles it had melted through the rubber and shorted out on the tailpipe. CRUD I KNOW BETTER! Another expensive lesson in "SLOW DOWN AND THINK."

broke a tooth in half yesterday and filled with wax today! I preached with my tongue slapping against the jagged tooth, it hurt so bad! Hope there is a dentist open Monday with a slot open for me.

Father's day is being spent on the couch hungry. I had hoped to go sailing this week as the prediction of 103 to 109 degree heat is coming.

the sun is going down in an hour and Sabot begins. Your are not to cook on the Sabbath so I have developed what I call my "Sabbath Stew." It is much better than the pizza I would but and eat it for three days.

Been working on the sail boat and she is almost ready! I will send pictures of my decking when I am done. I needed a saw to cut the wood right, but I couldn't bring myself to by one. I have three in Iowa. I bought a blade for my high speed hole cutter and freehanded the cuts. There was so much dust and smoke I woke up this morning with a super head ache and couldn't breath. But I goder done!

Well it is about time to rest. I do that a lot these days.

I had be some Mexican Sweet Corn today and it was goooooood! Not as good as Grimes but I aint in Iowa.
I sang Happy Trails today to end a funeral service. Long story.

106 today and cold tomorrow at 96. Hope I have enough propane to get through the day.

Sail boat still not finished.

Motor Home still broke down. House still not painted. Pickup still not washed. O WELL!

I got two more of those nasty little critters so the prospect of
Sharon's gopher coat is looking up!

It has been as hot as 106 last week, so work on the Motor Home and sail boat are reduced to zero. But this coming week it is only in the 90's so I can blaze! I will post pictures of my progress, maybe.

We had a young couple leading worship today and I believe the church is interested in hiring them. They have a two year old and one on the way. They both quit their jobs because they heard God tell them to do so! I told them I can relate to that, I am in California!

I haven't got a ticket home in July yet and am seriously considering the train. I once came to CA on a greyhound bus that gives me pause to wonder.
