Sun Down at the Ranch

Yes it is sundown at the ranch with me and my trusty side kick Foxy Lady! There are no mosquitoes yet and the temp falls from ninety eight to mid fifties in about an hour with no wind involved. It is the most incredible thing I have witnessed here. There is fire in the sky and it is beautiful.

Foxy Lady is enjoying looking at me! I must admit I do enjoy the attention and when I am sleeping in my porch swing as the sun goes down she will jump in my lap and smack my nose with her paw indicating she needs to be scratched. This does not increase my affection, in fact it is an irritant as I do enjoy my porch and rope swing. And when I fall asleep in it to the sound of humming birds flying to and from the feeder, the last thing one wants or expects is a dog paw in the nose.
This would have been a good shot but I seem to have a camera that thinks for itself and it decided that it was too dark so it used the flash. Below I hope you can hear the birds, smell the roses, smell the earth like after a rain from irrigation, and relax with your feet up letting the swing rock you to sleep.

California ....... You gotta love it!

How sweet it is to be loved by you do do do do Can’t remember the words do do do do but there you were something something you were better to me than I was to myself something something how sweet it is to be loved by you! OK willie sing that one to the kids! Love the pictures! Well I won’t be home for Momma’s day as the swine flu halts all hope of hope of returning for a while.
I have decided to get another camera. You need to see “FOXIE LADY” my Mexican fox dog! Put a flea collar on her today so I had to pet her. Scratched her ears and back, but when I got to her belly it was love. She closed her eyes indicating to me “That’s right, I’m your dog.” My response, “O no! You are Nora’s dog but can stay on my front porch until I leave for Iowa.” How do you throughout a dog who comes to Bible study?
I have a special session meeting tonight, then a Covenant Marriage class, then finally to bed! I am looking forward to that as I am nodding out at the keyboard. It might be a long evening.
Later. Love ya all
